Selection
A selection selects the population behind a mark, not single records. A Category mark, a column, or a group selects the Category value. A Split part, a cell, or a ribbon selects the Category and Split pair. An entry in the color key selects its Category or Split value.
Qlik owns the confirmation of a selection. The chart draws no Confirm control and no Cancel control. Click a mark, or press Enter or Space, to replace the pending selection. Press Shift+Enter to add a mark. Press Escape to cancel. Confirm or cancel in the Qlik toolbar.
Other, a total cell, a share, and a layout shape have no selection. The chart states why.
